Jordan Dennison, M.A. Ed.

A Lifelong Passion for Learning and Teaching

I was always a devout student, ultimately launching my teaching career as the honored Valedictorian of my class as a Master of Education at just 22 years of age.

And as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a teacher. Growing up in a family of teachers, I saw from an early age the life-changing impacts that strong educational support can have on a child.

My passion for teaching was cemented as I came to understand how pivotal the learning process is as a vehicle of social change towards a brighter future for all.

Through my years of experience in the classroom and one-on-one with students, I have honed my tutoring style—both fun and firm—into highly effective methods for engaging my students’ innate love for learning.

Get Support With Asheville Tutoring

Ever an optimist, I catch their spark and tend that into a flame—with a light yet steady hand.

Is your child struggling educationally? I understand that it can be an uncertain and frustrating place to be. â€‹

Asheville Tutoring is an extension of my years in the classroom—to facilitate rapid academic progress through tailored one-on-one instruction. It lights me up to see my students’ skills grow in leaps and bounds!

Whatever scholastic challenges your youngster is facing, I am confident I can support them in the process of excelling academically.

That way you, as the parent, can relax and enjoy the ride—and celebrate the progress!

Deep Roots in Asheville

At home, my partner Dylan and I are avid hikers appreciating the magic and beauty of Western North Carolina mountains. Dylan was homeschooled (with some tutoring in the mix) and went on to graduate from college with high distinctions as an Economist. We both have lifelong roots in the Asheville area, and what we love most is giving back to the communities that we serve.

I bring my love of both nature and people into the classroom, making students aware of the world around them and supporting them in finding their place in a confident and meaningful way. Oh, and on the weekends, I’m also known to whip up a mean batch of dumplings!
